Exige:
It’s February 2021, most of Europe is plagued by lockdowns, restrictions of movement & travel and is generally not in its happy place. Lotus fans have it even worse, having just been told the Elise, Exige and Evora would be discontinued, with their eventual replacement yet to be released.
Lotus launched the Exige in 2000 and continued to build these race cars for the road for 20 years (over 3 series). For the model’s final production year of 2021, they had prepared a swan song. Good news for Lotus fans at last. And what a symphony it turned out to be!
Weighing in at under 1.150 kg and moved along by a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine, producing 403 hp and 420 Nm of torque, this was always destined to become the sweet spot of the Final Edition models.
