The looks. Oh, the looks! Name anything in anywhere near the price range that will turn heads quite like the i8. Moreover, though the numbers aren’t especially impressive on paper, one has to get behind the wheel to truly feel and thus truly understand. Whoever’s had the chance to drive an i8 will tell you that it exceeded expectations in so many ways. It looks like a supercar, but is economic like a Prius. It has a city car engine, but roars nicely and turns heads everywhere. It’s contradictory, and perhaps rightfully so.
